i keep being asked for some more piccys of Dealer Boy - so today i managed to remember my camera and asked my instructor to take some after my fab lunge lesson - i was a bit worried, as last night i bought him in and the weather was really cold and windy this morning, it was the first time he had been in overnight since ive had him so i wondered if he may be a bit fresh - but i neednt have worried he was as well behaved as usual! I hope my riding/postition is improving - ive had 4 lessons now inc 2 lunge lessons - what do you think?

He's very cute!

I would just suggest (since you asked!) that you open your knee out a bit from the saddle as your leg looks tense and this will also help you get a better contact with your lower leg. Relax your hands off his neck and lift them slightly by bending your elbow into your waist.

It'll come! Best of luck!

Thanks Henry 1997 - That is a major fault that i have - my instructor keeps reminding me to stop gripping with my knees - also i tip forwards badly - comes from years of hacking and no lessons im afraid!

your boy is really lovely and looks as though hes a sweetheart

. Your position isnt bad at all but maybe if you lengthened your leathers by a hole it would be easier for you to drop your knees and heels allowing you to stop gripping with your knees which is pushing you upwards and creating tension in your body. Keep with it, your doing well!
