Pictures of Felix

What congratulations you deserve

Well done, he looks lovely.
You are going to have such fun with him.
He does look a bit cheeky!!
Just remind me of his breeding again.

Thanks... I love him he is so sweet, but yes cheeky too!
Saying that, he was a lot better behaved than the other 4yo we were out with yesterday, we going accross a stubble field and the rain started lashing down sideways... Felix although not impressed carried on walking calmly whereas Charlie was having little bronking fits!! OH had a few more grey hairs when we got back!!

He is By Unbelievable Darco, out of a Mare by Zarlequin

He is very much a Darco stamp, don't know about the mother line but we will find out on here in due course!!
He is rather handsome

Talking of Handsome, how is BSH by the way?

BSH is not a happy bunny, he is not enjoying box rest, keeps kicking the door and making his leg sore!!

We are getting a 2nd opinion... or should I say another vet who will bother scanning him.. in on Tuesday.
Hopefully then we'll know exactly what we are dealing with!

Super! Well done he's a credit to your hard work

How did he end up in a dealer's yard after having being bred by SL at the Brendon Stud? I can't imagine he would have looked like that at their yard?
Are you going to grade him?

Thanks

Not sure of exactly why or the full details, but he was injured as a 2yo so has a big hock, therefore wouldn't be top class material, even though the breeding is! But cos of his injury he was sold on from the stud, but no, I am sure would not have looked like that when he left the stud!

Really not sure what happened before he got to the dealer, I got him from, he got to her in a bit of a mess!

We were just very lucky to get him... I will hopefully try to take him to grading next year, if his hock holds up to ridden work, just not sure which studbook yet!

He's looking fab - and what a good boy to behave so well!

Whatever happens, I'm sure you will have lots of fun with him - and he's very lucky to have ended up in such good hands.

Thanks...I am so pleased with how he's going just keeping my fingers crossed that he keeps going that way!!
I'd love to see photos of his full brother, is he younger?

My thoughts exactly!!

Vet has just been and poor Ed is going to Horspital on Thursday for scans... if the front leg is not too bad they will also do a lameness work up on the hind, if he can't be trotted up they'll leave the hind til the front is better.. poor boy is not a happy bunny!!

On a happier front Felix was a good boy again this morning when he went out for a hack on his own, even the scarey grit piles aren't so scarey anymore, in fact the only really scarey things are puddles not sure he's going to make a XC horse!!

Follyfox, Felix is looking super - well done.

As to the full story of Felix's injury - I know all about it, from Shirley - so not gossip and Shirley is also a member of this forum.
