Well I hope this is going to work.
First I tried getting some piccies of the dogs at home.
Josh is such a poser it was no problem to get him.

Daisy however was frightened and kept trying to hide behind the pot plants on the patio.

So I took them into work and got someone to hold them for me.
Here is Daisy.

Then it was Josh's turn and he acted like he was getting told off for something so looks a bit sheepish.
th_JD3.jpg

So I thought I'd try and catch some of them on their lunchtime walk. Josh went back to posing mode.
th_JD4.jpg

Then when they started to play it was difficult to get a shot as they move SO fast!

Then typical Josh flies into the pond. Normally Daisy just runs round the edge barking at him but today even she ventured in!

And this is the state of them at the end of most of out walks - FILTHY!

And it took some bribery with food to get them to sit together like that I can tell you.

Thanks. Its a good job I didn't bring my camera today on their walk as they got even more minging than usual today - partly because its so muddy up there today and partly because Daisy rolled in something rather fragrant!

Well his show name is Bitcon Star Voyager and I think he more than lives up to his name as he is a total star! I find him much more laid back then my bitch was - I don't know if this is a general dog/bitch thing or just him. He's a complete softy though and Daisy is definitely the boss of the two of them.
Mum says Murray is doing a lot of winning with an australian vizzie at the moment. I haven't seen it but apparently its stunning. Would love to see some pics of yours.

yes yogi is the sire of our bitch. you will see him on crufts tb, i am reporting so maybe see me too! he is top winner at the mo and great dog, the bitch is very different to what we have past breed but lovely and a reall winner, will get some pics

Thanks - I'm guessing from your name you're a vizsla fan too! Josh is my 2nd, the other vizlsa in my signature is Bracken - Josh's great auntie who I still miss terribly. (Not the pup which is another pic of Josh).

I will look forward to seeing those pics and I will keep my eyes peeled for you at crufts although they show so little of the judging on the telly will probably only see whatever makes it through to the group final. I wish they would show the breeds online like the link prose put up for westminster. Anyway good luck - its not far off now is it.

Thanks, yes they are easily bribed.

Although sometimes the sight or sound of a pheasant means that Daisy loses the ability to see or hear me anymore!

Love 'em - Tally is my fifth Vizsla. I have had the breed since 1989. I have also had a GSP, Russ, who died last year in June, aged 13.5 yrs. I have Nova who will be 14 in April and Tally who will be 7 next month. Not to mention a Lab, a Dobe, a cross breed and my daughters Weimaraner who stays with me when my daughter is not in the house (she howls when left!). My daughter's GSP died last Feb aged 15.5 yrs, he (Kata) was a darling!! She took him in as a resue aged 13 yrs.

I have to confess I've stuck that one in a frame at home though why I want to display my dogs when they are filthy I don't know - but then anyone that knows the dogs probably thinks that is their normal state anyway.

Now both dogs are complete angels as you well know.

Don't think I've ever heard Josh bark la la la.
Daisy doesn't run off and is heading for crufts obediance championships.
*fingers crossed tightly behind back* la la la
If anyone was wondering Daisy is a rescue and came from CALAs mums rescue.
I did have some major problems with Daisy's recall at one point - blasted pheasants.... but we seem to have conquered this now.
