Pictures of Totilas yard

As for carl hester, all his get turned out, one lives out 24/7 if I remember rightly and they all get hacked and I think a few are jumped too.

I really? I dare to think how high the insurance would be. I met someone who could not turn out her horse due to insurance going into the thousands per year if they did (paddock accidents, etc.)...

I've never been lucky enough to visit Carl's yard, but he has mentioned at a number of lecture/demos that he turns out his horses. I remember him saying about a horse called Tomato that he is turned out with other youngsters so he can expend some energy (it's on one of the H&C TV demos) and I am pretty sure Escapado lived out 24/7 at least part of the year to manage his exuberance!

Tasel thank you :) , but this doesn't compare to the others really -- it's also very small.

Booboos I am also 100% sure that Carl Hester said that Escapado was turned out 24/7 at least for a certain period of his life, but maybe this regime changed once he moved to Holland.

The most gorgeous yard I've ever seen is Aubenhausen (http://www.aubenhausen.de/das-ist-aubenhausen/die-reitanlage.html, home to Jessica & Benjamin Werndl), their website doesn't even do the place justice.QUOTE]

Me and the ponies could just move into that, looks lovely.

I know -- it's a dream, and it isn't even expensive (from what I remember, full livery --everything included, except training-- was 500 euros a month!)

Slinky, you wouldn't - you probably wouldn't even have to clean your own tack ;)

Now that is more like it!! Pretty stunning surroundings, facilities and everything looks so beautiful!

Yep, know what you mean about the public baths! And not the Roman variety, more like Stoke on Trent!
