This is mine! Day 1:

He'd be upset at me calling him a dummy - but I've called him worse!

I was driving down quite a busy a road the other day and saw a woman leading a little pony in a headcollar with a pair of waterproof trousers stuffed with straw attached to the saddle and a pair of wellies tied to the bottom. A realistic dummy in some ways, but why take an unbroken pony along a busy a road in just a headcollar? There are no yards along there so she had no need to go there.

Mine would be a picture of rags and straw - Please be mega mega careful. Ive done it once really successfully but the next time with my young man I really screwed up and didnt have it, or the saddle done up tight enough. I tried it as he was prone to panic but It wobbled, he went ballistic, sheer, blind panic, breastplate snapped, saddle and dummy ended up under his belly between his hind legs. Pony went understandable psycho and dummy was torn limb from limb (one arm was found in a field 30m from arena!) and young man ran blindly through a wooden fence.

Dont mean to scare you, but I was stupid and hurried and I could have ruined my horses backing experience. After that i bit the bullet and just got on. Ponio remembered the last terrifying event and did same rodeo act with me in the plate, neckstrap snapped (must invest in better leather!) and i nearly broke my back. Got straight back on, took things dead slow and my lovely boy forgave me and is a darling.

meet john paul! i did in the end take hes head off,,, he stayed in the saddle really well with hes hands tied to the d rings!
