I bought my first horse, Forest, in August and have since received a lot of help and advice from you lovely people and just wanted to share how he was getting on. I was terrified when he arrived but now just love looking at him because he's so handsome!

When he arrived in August

And this week

Looking particularly handsome

And wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

He's 7 but very green but we're getting there and will hopefully be going to some shows in 2016 when I get back from the Falklands and if he gets over his fear of coloured poles!

Just wanted to share as I am one proud first horse mummy now :)

GORGEOUS!! you have every right to be proud :) i'm a first horse owner too and sooo proud of my boy every time i go out, i went through the village on boxing day just in time for about 20 hunt 4x4 's with trailers full of hounds to charge by and the church bells peal 12 right next to me , somebody started a tractor and 2 motorcrossers zoomed by, my boy did a big dragon snort then ignored all of it while i quietly hyperventilated!, best of luck with your plans for 2016, he's lovely OP xx

He's lovely and changed so much in a short period of time. If he's id or id x then there is still time for him to fill out more!

He's ISH with a lot of ID in his breeding. I think he's also grown upwards since I've had him. He was advertised as 15.2 which looked about right but I'm sure he's a bit bigger than that.

Lovely horse. Having bought a grey ID this year, I am now quite partial to them, apart from the mud and poo stains. He's looking good, filling out nicely. Do you know his breeding? He does look similar to mine but I suspect all grey ID types probably do! Glad you're making progress with him. Hope you have lots of fun.
