Pig Oil and Sulphur! :D

MUD has returned and i am determined not to let Ronnie get mud-fever.
Our fields are pretty bad at the moment so i've decided to jump on the pig oil band wagon and give it a go.

Any comments/experiences/pictures would be great.

I only use pig oil but it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use it its fantastic.. sulphur is know to kill germs but is more there for thoses horses with white legs.

At my last job we used to put pig oil on the horses heals, belly and up between there back legs when they went hunting. There was hardly any mud there when they got home and any that was there just brushed off with the rub of my hand. So yes it is amazing.
Also when you say sulphur do you mean flowers (sp?) of sulpher. A yellow powder. Because we used to use that on everything from cuts to mud fever scabs and it was so good the vet started recomended others use it.

Heavy Horse Leg Oil - It has pig oil + flower of sulpher and yes its BRILLIANT!!!

I buy it from York Horse Sales and wouldn't be without it

Sorry having a blonde moment! but remember when i looked at buying this i found quite a few negative posts about the sulphur bit. People had found their horses had reacted badly to it and as i remember somebody had had to have the vet out because of it.
Sorry can't remember which sites but i had googled it.
It was just the sulphur and not the pig oil.

The ebay fella is a shire and clydesdale breeder so knows his stuff. Ask him about the sulphur. might be sensible to patch test first anyway. He is a really nice guy.

Great stuff - if you want a copy of the very very long PM I do about what it is, how to apply and how to keep hairy horses legs healthy and in show condition, PM me and I will send it to you.

Oil will keep mud off and protect hair, sulphur kills ticks, mites etc and keeps hair white.

pitter patter mvf can get it in for you too, it is on their stock list but not instore in BW (they also do the pig oil too) if thats any use to you.

If you give them a ring it comes in 2 sizes 2.5k and 5k I think and is just on the stock list as sulphur powder.
