It was that time, this afternoon.... shake it up to mix it, get the gloves on, pour a bit out and let Shy sniff it, then bundle it onto his feathers, mane and tail before you can say Jack Robinson. Get clothes in the washing machine and get a gin and tonic. It's like an oil slick out there. One of my most hated jobs, but the mud literally slides off for weeks afterwards ?

Just a warning to anyone who reads this: just be very VERY careful with this stuff!

It can cause a very nasty reaction: I didn't know, and put it on my old boy, poor old lad came up in a horrendous reaction, very red and sore. I didn't think! Wish I'd known how caustic this stuff can be.

I always without fail patch-test anything now before using it proper, just wish I'd done it with my old lad, still feel very guilty about it........
