Pig Oil for manes

I use pig oil with a touch of sulphur for feathers, manes and tails. It helps growth, and stops midges and feather mites. Shy's mane is now down past his shoulder !

Never used sawdust, just the pig oil. x

But beware, too much oil & it ends up on your reins......
My Welshy is a bit strong on occasion & I found out the hard way that oil & reins are a bad mix!

I would tend toward plain pig oil for manes otherwise you'll get sulphur on your tack which probably would not be a good idea. My lad is hogged so I don't have that problem; but I use plain pig oil on his tail to stop the dreadlocks and oil & sulphur on his feet for mud fever and to keep clean.
