Arch has always had 'special' feet and when he was 4 he dished quite noticably, now his dish is hardly noticable, but since he was shod on Monday his front right foot turns in alot more than it used to! He is quite flat footed and I am worried about the strain this will put on his legs especially jumping.
He was standing last night and his foot was really turned in and it doesnt straighten whe nhe moves either.
Had any one elses horse had this? Is there anything I can suggest to my farrier? He did mention egg bars for his flat footedness. Im thinking of asking another farrier for a second opinion.

Its not what you can suggest to your farrier but what your farrier should be suggesting to you!

If these are recent changes in rotation I would want a good long chat with him about his long term plan for your horses feet and if he doesnt appear to have noticed the rotation I would probably change farriers to be honest.

Yes, thats what I thought, I really like my farrier and he has been doing my horses for years, but I am not happy with Archies feet and would have thought he would have talked to me about them. Think I might have to ring him!
