I am looking to buy one of these to go showjumping but have discovered that you can get them in navy blue do you think that would be better with my navy blue jacket than a black one??
Lol, im sooo awful i can't have brown tack on a horse and have a black breastplate for instance, it really annoys me. I know i have a problem, lol, i know it doesn't matter, but it really really annoys me.
I do that too, i wear my navy jacket when i ride so the horse has a navy saddlecloth, lol. What is really annoying me at the moment is having black boots with my brown tack, ARGH! So i thought i'd just use them at home and get some brown ones (good excuse, eh?!
I am (fingers crossed the bugger will fit anything) getting a new brown saddle next week and changing from black tack so EVERYTHING has to be sold and replaced with brown.
You have just reminded me I will need a new hat too aghh!
Changing the thread completely from hats and commenting on boots, I am going to show my age here, but traditionally (as I understood it) long brown riding boots were only used when wearing tweed jackets. Technically if wearing black or navy jacket you should, for an adult, wear long black boots. Joddy boots for children were supposed to be brown I think.
I assumed it was brushing boots they were talking about. Maybe I picked it up wrong. Yes you are correct regarding brown riding boots, though I have always fancied a pair for home.
