Looking at some second hand Pikeur show jackets but am struggling to work out what size I want. One is a size 36 and one is a 38, what does that mean numpty language (ie. UK dress sizes!). I'm a 12-14 (should be a 12 but chest occasionally thinks otherwise). Any ideas what size I need? Also, any thoughts on whether Pikeur comes up small or large (once I've worked out the sizing!).

Thanks :)

Normally, I'm a 38 German size/10 UK. In Pikeur, I have to take a size larger (40), as I find they're quite nippy! If you're a 12--14 UK size, I'd start with trying a 42, and go up or down from there.

I find pikeur come up big? I am a size 8 and the 36 fits with room to spare (that's all pikeur top, jackets, fleeces and my show jackets).

Perfect, thanks guys. At least I know what I'm aiming for now! Might try and get to a tack shop to try some on before I chance my luck on eBay!

I'm a size 10, sometimes 12 and have a 38. It fits really nicely but I don't have room to get any fatter! I did exactly what you suggest - went to a tack shop and tried on a few different styles to figure out my size then bought on eBay. It felt a bit cheeky but it's my usual tack shop so I thought I've spent enough money there over the years to warrant a little trying-on session. Remember that if you normally wear a sports bra to compete you should wear it when you try jackets on :)
