Pilate books / dvds for horse and for rider - any good ones?

Would like to get my horse and i both more supple! Has anyone got the Horses inside out book 'Pilates and Stretching' (for the horse)? (http://www.horsesinsideout.com/b1pasfh.html)

And has anyone tried Gemma tattersalls Pilates dvd for the rider? is it worth getting?

Can't help with the above book/DVD but I can just say that my physio, my doctor and my consultant have all highly recommended pilates class for me and after my back first 'went' I visited a pilates class locally every monday night for about 18 months and it did my back the world of good.

For a spinal consultant to recommend pilates must mean something.

I got the book "pilates for riders" - good explaining the theory about how we all work and the principles of being straight and balanced but I didn't feel like the exercises did much! Much prefer a pilates class (although not much help for your horse...unless you can sneak him in).

If you can't get to a class I would recommend the Pilates for Dummies DVD as a starter. I did that every day for a couple of weeks and really noticed the change in my core strength
