Pink flesh bits from wound????

I have a mare with a nasty hock cut (was full thickness skin, about 2cm long on outside side of hock joint). Wound is 5 weeks old approx. when I was cleaning it today tiny bits of pinky red flesh where coming out. What is it?!!! She is on antibiotics for an infection on another wound (accident prone!) and under beta care, who is coming tomo to re asses. Any ideas ?

Proud flesh.

Vets can cut it away or it will shrink down when the cut closes over.
It can leave a little lump though.

Oh the flesh bits where coming out with the serum and onto the strile wipe I was using in little lumps. I examined each bit and it was just like bits of flesh. I though proud flesh was fleshy growths on the wound?

Sorry don't think I explained it clearly these lumps where actually attached to nothing and where being exuded from the wound
