This is what my sister has asked me to buy for my niece for Christmas

I have just googled and got loads of hits, but they all seem to be sold by waist size not age size? Not having kids myself I have NO idea what her waist size is, so does anyone know of anywhere (NOT e-bay please I don't understand it!) which sells jods by age size?

I should say that my niece is actually 4 1/2 years old, but she is very tall and quite well built for her age bless her

Oh that is fab, thank you! Of course I suppose the sensible thing would be to ring my sister and ask her to measure my niece

I have even seen some funky pink jods in my local Countrywide, but I will check out the website you have suggested and look for the ones to cause my sister the most embarrasment - my niece will love them though

Toby is 6, not a massive child, and he is a 22 waist. I would have thought a 24 waist would be enormous unless she is a very solid little girl.

Why not ring and ask them to measure her waist?

Poor thing looks like me really - not fat really but very, very solid! I would so love to be petite (sigh.......) I will ring my sister now

- I still remember at primary school my headmaster describing me as 'of typical Celtic origins' as I am small, dark haired and - erm - stocky!

I would love to post a pic of my niece (although obviously I never would!) she is so sweet - and I don't even like children

You would be far better off asking your sis to measure her daughter, don't forget to measure the inside leg length. That is the lesson we have learnt from buying jods for my granddaughters!!

We find Rhinegold to be good fits.

It obviously made quite an impact didn't it - he also said it when I was class 3 (the real babies) in front of a class 1 group (the oldest in the school!) Ahh, the traumatic times of childhood

Yep, just spoke to my brother in law, he and my sister are going to pin down my niece tonight and measure waist and inside leg for me. Good luck to them, she is a lively little soul

If she is sturdy....try to go for elasticated waist pull ons. They seem more comfy for the stocky little ones and as she is quite young they will be easier for her to put on herself and um also take up and down as required during the day. :-)

tesco have pink johds by age, my tall 8 year old has the 9-10 year old ones, my 4 year old has the 5-6 year old ones.
