I am going looking at a mare who has blue papers.

Her sire is fully graded with the KWPN but her dam has KWPN and a number on the Horse Telex site but I presume she has not gone through the ster / keur process making her progeny only eligible for the blue papers... is this correct?

I have a KWPN grading centre about 30 mins from where I stable which has the grading every August. Could someone please tell me whether I can grade this mare through the KWPN and put her up for a Ster even though she only has blue papers???

Thanks... These KWPN papers do nothing more than confuse me!!!

Forget the colours, full papers aren't pink anyway.

You need to check your horses registration paper (A4 sheet showing pedigree & registration details). At the top right, where it says "INGESCHREVEN IN", it tells you what book your horse is registered in.

If it says STB, your horse has already been to a keuring and is successfully graded.
If it says VB, your horse has full papers and is eligible to enter a keuring.
If it says Reg A, your horse is by a stallion who is not approved by the KWPN but she is still eligible to enter a keuring but may need to be performance tested or X-rayed before she is successfully graded.
If it says Reg B, she is not eligible to be graded.

Hope that helps.

what does type RP mean?

[/ QUOTE ]

RP means the horse is Riding Horse type as opposed to Gelders Horse (GP) or Harness Horse (TP) type.
