Pink papers

We have a mare that we brought a few years ago as young retired show jumper. She was sold to us as a companion/ brood mare due to kissing spine. We were told she is pink papered, but when I look through her ISH passport it doesn't mention anything.
What makes a horse pink papered and should we actually have any paperwork to state she is?

Pink papers would be Dutch, German etc. ie full blood line recorded and printed on pink paper! An ISH can't be pink papered. Has she got both sides of breeding recorded?

Pink papers means its a pure bred horse of that breeding population and is from parents both graded into the studbook. Each studbook has different standards for grading and some are much more detailed. In Germany a State Premium mare would get 300 Euros from the state and would need to be graded into the studbook,been shown in a mare class and awarded a 1a grade which a number of mares could get in the same class depending on the overall quality of the class' It would need a vets certificate to say it had no breathing problems and would become a St Pr Candidate until it has had a foal. The stallions have to have xrays and vet certificate, and performance qualifications which become higher with age so a three year old would need the 70 day test for a permanent licence or a 30 day test with competition results. This is only the overall picture there are more details available on websites of the studbooks.

Many thanks, it must of been her dad that was pink papered then. Il did out her passport again and see who he is. I remember the owner saying she was his last foal. But as we brought her as a companion we didn't take that much notice!
