Ok, mare is doing my head in with her physco panics and anxious behaviour so I was going to put her on NAF Pink Powder which (quote) .........
"A concentrated feed balancer containing naturally occurring yeasts and probiotics, essential for the maintenance of correct gut function. Feed whenever the natural microbial balance of the gut is likely to be disrupted. Ideal for horses prone to anxiety, loss of appetite or weight loss."
but I then got thinking about Brewers yeast which is (quote) .........
"Brewers Yeast is the perfect natural source of a wide range of B vitamins, It has long been a favourite of horse keepers. Brewers Yeast is effective against the effects of stress, behavioural problems, anxiety, mareishness and travel stress. Its high quality amino acids encourage a healthy population of gut flora, ensuring better hindgut digestion. It also provides copper and zinc, and is particularly useful for hard working horses, lactating mares, anxious and problem horses. "
Pink Powder is £15 and Brewer's Yeast £5 for a little less amount. If you have experience of feeding both of these products would you say they are doing the same thing or different? I did try Brewer's yeast for a couple of months about a year ago and it didn't seem to do much really.
Thank you
