My 6 yr old welsh x warmblood has always been barefoot, never shown signs of any foot soreness and so we have left him, he doesn't get trimmed as feet are always fairly short (possibly needing shoes soon as his workload increases). He started NAF pink powder 6 weeks ago and for the last 3 weeks he has had the odd footy moment. Today he had to finish xc schooling early as went hoppy after hitting a stone in the water jump. Would the balancer be enough to cause the change or is it more seasonal?

Photos would be brilliant if you can. Side and solar views, mud free.

Barefoot hooves are short, much shorter than shod so this might not be an issue. It is possible for PP to cause footiness, anything which doesn't suit an individual has potential to do so, but it is unlikely.

You may well find that your horse needs some dietary changes.
