I have a mini shetty that is basically a field ornament!!

He is on sparse grazing and gets a haynet overnight and two small feeds a day consisting of a couple of handfuls of hifi lite and the recommended amount of baileys lo cal. His weight is ok but i really dont want him to add anymore on. I have been feeding my other mini pink powder as he shows and does lots of exercise and i have been impressed with the results ( although i cant really atribute his condition to just the pink powder ) His coat is fabulous and the only difference between the feeds for both minis is that the shetty doesnt get topline cubes or pink powder instead gets the lo cal, and he gets a smaller feed.
The shettys coat isnt marvelous compared to my other mini

Im wondering should i change the shetty onto pink powder or stay with the lo cal? Im not bothered about money as they would both work out similar price and ive space in the tack room but wondered whether the pink powder might improve his coat condition. Are they both similar products?

MIne were on the Baileys lo-cal ( a Shetland and a Highland) but I swapped them onto NAF general purpose supplement and got the same results, they have it in a handful of HiFi lite. Dodson & Horrell Equi-bites are good too, you give them 1 'biscuit' for every 50kg weight so they don't need any bucket feed. They both have lovely shiny coats
