My gelding has very loose droppings since moving yards 3 months ago. He has settled in well but the only thing i can think of is that the haylage is richer.

Would either pink powder or haylage balancer help?

Don't know about haylage balancer as have never used it, butPink Powder definately helped my mare when she was on haylage.

She is miles better on hay though.

I used to use pink powder, but now they have brought out haylage balance use that and it's working fine (and is cheaper to feed). Either would be fine.

I read a post from a NAF adviser somewhere which states that Haylage Balancer is like Gaviscon for horses.

I use Pink Powder for my stressy mare who used to always have loose droppings. Pink Powder has resolved this.

Give Naf a call. They were really friendly when I called and gave great advice.

I bought a quick fix syringe of protexin for my two when they had loose droppings and then put them on pink powder with great results.

i have an old horse with loose droppings. Tried pink powder but it didn't make a difference to him. He has been on haylage balancer for a week and have noticed a difference already. I would definitely give it a try.

i would use the haylage balancer, as it is designed to slow the transit of the haylage down to allow the horse to digest it better, which in turn should help with the loose droppings.

my horse had very loose droppings when i moved to a new stables which only serves haylage! i tried probitotics etc and in the end i decided to try the NAF HAYLAGE BALANCER and he is SO much better firm droppings and much happier and better in himself!!
Highly Recommended xx
