it was recommeded to me for my mare to help her put on weight but i didnt find it worked really and i used it for a while. i figured out that i think her weight loss was from anxiety so put her on a clamer instead and we have since moved yards where there is sooooooo much grass!

I think it really depends on the circumstances. I know someone who used to use it because her horses poo was very erm 'sloppy' and food would just pass straight through, i think it was something to do with digestion. In this instance when she put her on the pink powder she did gain weight as she was actually gaining something from the food.

Thats exactly why my horse is on Pink Powder. That makes so much sence about him acutally gaining some thing from the food though, never thought of that!

Wonderful stuff. I used it on my mare when she was a youngster as she never kept weight on and it worked a treat.

Well its certainly made Archie's poos normal, but he's getting abit porky! He's ridden every day though.

That is also why I use it. It does not make them gain weight but it does help with digestion of food so if the horse has a poor digestive system Pink Powder should work. It worked for Baron, it didnt really help him gain weight but did improve his general condition mainly I think because he was getting more from the food as the digestion process was taking longer.
But all it is really is an all round vit & mineral supplement with pre and pro biotics.
I would never take Baron off it now, it has really helped him.
