Jack's (grey pony) dock turned a creamy pink colour when he was itching his bottom (not worms, lice, etc.) and I have recently been wondering whether he had an allergic reaction to something which made the skin of his dock pink and itchy which made him rub his bottom because he couldn't get to the under side of his dock to rub it?

I started using Killitch about 3 weeks ago and it has nearly stopped his rubbing and most of his skin has turned dark grey again but some of the skin of his dock is still pink and itchy.

Any ideas?

Hmm it's definitely been at the back of my mind because the Killitch solution is used for horses with sweet itch and it has seemed to clear it up.

Thank you both I will take a look in tack shop for the Wondergel.
Honey08 I do have a fly rug for him (Mark Todd one) but in the hot weather I think he was heating up in it and causing him to rub even more. At the moment his rubbing has almost stopped and I'm hoping this Killitch will keep it under control but I was interested in his skin colour change, do you know if this happens when horses with dark skin itch or have sweetitch or could it be something more serious? Thank you both for the help xx
