Pintaloosas

What is a pintaloosa? Intrigued. I had an Appaloosa years ago. He was an absolute diamond horse.

Hi, sorry I only just read your replies! Here's some pics of him:

Got spots all over her body when her summer coats through.

I think I might have one I am not sure?
So many people ask me what colour/breeding he is and I have no clue but I think the appaloosa society or whatever its called told me he was pintaloosa.

He is spotty all round his nose and has appaloosa eyes. Also a spotty bottom which everyone laughs at! He has a very roany coat in the summer and defined white patch on his bum ...I'll try and post photos - I've never seen another like him!

The snowy photo shows his white patch clearly but was taken winter last year and he didn't have the roaniness back then. The other photo shows the roan and white in his coat.

I would be really interested in opinions on what his colour and possible breeding are! He came out of the sales so I have no clue about his history.

I love odd coloured horses - in the photo gallery on the link someone posted above there are some absolute stunners!

Thank you ISH_Lover :D

BringouttheBest - He is lovely! :) I don't think he is a Pintaloosa though as he doesn't have definite white markings (as they are more roan) so I guess he would be classed as a Frosted Appaloosa.
