Well, not actually hogged: that's a little too drastic for me, so we practised.
He's getting far too hot under his heavy mane so he had to endure half an hour of plaiting so his manes up.
Rather suits him I think:

And what happens when it's taken out: people pay a lot of money to have their hair curled like this:
I do love his amazing mane (currently a little less amazing due to having 18" chopped off before the show cos it was looking so straggly) but I'm thinking he might just become a hogged cob later in life.......

) and starting to fill out (read: getting fat - he and his naughty highland filly friend keep breaking out and letting all the rest into the winter grazing) so looking bigger. It looks like he might make the 15hh I want. It's only recently I've thought he looks bit enough for me to ride. Tried a saddle on him today as well (see my short-backed saddle woes in Breeding) and would have been happy to hop on and ride him at the size he is. I have all fingers and toes crossed that he takes after Jobo's Bodey and makes another hand!
