Pippa Funnell withdraws BOTH horses from Badminton

That's a shame. I see that Mary has withdrawn Apache Sauce too.
I can understand the concern for a young horse, or for any horse, if the ground is firm. If we don't get (a lot of) rain soon, there will be many more who decide not to risk their horses XC I'm afraid.

Phillip Hobbs, the racehorse trainer, walked the course yesterday and said he wouldn't run racehorses on it. Which says a lot to me.

I was at BAdminton and the going was great - the ground was very good on the xc course.

Miss Naughty - I think all the riders think of their horses first. At this level they;re worth too much money for them not to!

Agree, I would guess that some horses are more suseptable to firmer ground than others, as they say horses for courses

She usually does, nothing is quite right for Pippa. I dont think god could make the going right for Pips.

Well, I was going to say she probably withdrew so the good folk of HHO wouldn't be able to moan that she was whipping too much/not enough/riding too fast/going dangerously slow BUT turns out she'll be moaned about away.
