This is more of a "get it off my chest" post than anything else but comments are of course welcome!! :D

Pippa was a rescue collie via a dog charity via the dog warden who picked her up wandering stray in a local town.

She has always been a little wayward but is extremely sociable with people but does occasionally wander off looking for new friends. In a normal situation this probably wouldn't be a good thing but we live in the middle of the back of beyond on our own farm, so it shouldn't be too much of a prob right?

When we first got her she would frequently give us the slip if we let her off the lead so we had to keep her on a lead for a quite a few months and gradually introduce her to "freedom", but nowadays she sticks close by and gets on with her "work" - helping hubby and I with our work/horse chores in the farmyard. She is a working dog breed at the end of the day and is just very happy wandering round a farmyard, meeting and greeting etc! We live on quite a large farm so it's not too much of a prob when she does go off on one but we also have a hamlet of about 8 houses around the farm.

Back in the summer one of the neighbours who breeds spaniels brought her home (1 minute walk) as she had turned up at his house. He was very cheerful and pleasant about it and that was that. Since then she has wandered into the hamlet twice but my Granny (who lives here too) called both times that she was at her house so we went to pick her up.

Anyway, today the spaniel neighbour appeared in the yard when both hubby and I were out and had a massive go at my poor old Dad, saying that Pippa keeps coming and pooing in his garden!!!:eek::eek: This is the first we have heard of it since he brought her back in the summer (and didn't mention anything about pooing then!)!

The thing is she's been with me in the house for the past 3 days at least as the weather's been so bad!! So if she has done the deed, it was a good few days ago!!!

We don't quite know what to make of it! Poor old Dad!! The thing is the guy with the gun dogs often lets his dogs run wild in our crops (without permission) as there is a footpath through a field where he walks his dogs, but we turn a blind eye to it.

If someone else's dog was pooing in my garden I'd be annoyed, so can totally understand where the guy is coming from, but I really don't think she could possibly have done this any time recently!! Also he does have about 8 dogs so how can he be certain it's not one of his!!!???

I was a bit taken aback and not sure what to do?? Hubby is very diplomatic so it thinking about going over and explaining that we don't think it could be our dog, but very very sorry if it is and will keep more of an eagle eye on her in future etc.

Just feel sorry for poor old Dad who was already having a bad day and didn't need a shouting at to boot! :(

see problem is.... if you say "well stop your dogs running in our crops.... ".. enter WW3...

id just appologise and stop her from running there!...if your dog has crapped on his garden id be really annoyed too (but no proof......)

mabey hes more annoyed your dog keeps coming over to say hello?? rather than the poo/

Completely agree with this, not planning to bring it up, but it's still a bit of a cheek, given and take and all that!!

Agree, a bit of a we won't let it happen again is in order, however what if it IS another dog doing it and he keeps accusing Pip!!!!??

I think it must be another dog though - otherwise why would he come round 3 days after she could possibly ahve done it!!

If he comes over again say the above ^^ or "stay the fk of my land its not my dog"......

:D

Ooooooh sneaky beaky!

I like it:D

Actually.... it might be cats!!! I was convinced that someone was letting dogs poo on the gravel outside my house till my dogwalker told me glee that my bitch (on an extending lead) had chased off a cat in mid poo.
