Hello, can i pick people's brains?
I am pregnant and (now I have finally stopped feeling like death due to morning-all-day-sickness) am starting to really miss my riding.
So to cheer myself up am starting to make plans for when i have had baby and can get back on.
My mare is in foal, so i won't have a pony to ride - I do know people whose horses I could hack out, but feel like I really want to use the time when I can't ride my own pony to improve.
So, does anyone have any suggestions of places to have lessons? Without sounding completely snobbish, as i am no potential Olympian

I want somewhere to push me and teach me properly if you know what i mean. Any suggestions? thank you

Well you have your usual local riding school haunts with their structured lessons (all very BHS) in Wellington, Cullinghood, Hall Place, Checkendon etc but really don't know much about the qulity of horses or teaching.

Also, don't know if she still does it, but I used to have lessons with Fiona Harter at Tidmarsh Stud, she usually has the odd horse she teachs clients on. A complete hoot but not quite as BHS ....

i don't mind bhs (am a very dusty/rusty AI) but am looking for someone to inspire me and really push me - which tends to be individual freelance trainers from experience, but its just the fact i don't have my own horse to ride that puts a spanner in the works. I don't know Fiona Harter but will investigate - thanks
