where are nice places to ride in kent?

looking for an area to have picnic, canters.. potential jump?? and nice stroll and lorry parking.
do you need to join a membership to ride there?

we're based in sittingbourne but willing to travel to the right place.

Not sure whre you are located,but there are toll rides in the county which you can refer to via TROTT.Also Bewl Bridge reservoir.Barming woods are great too,and free.There are many bridleways you can also check out on maps.

I travel just over the border from Kent into Sussex to ride in the Ashdown Forest (you do need a permit) which is fantastic.

Northdowns, see Speedgate website for details, £110 a year, loads of parking, superb hacking and cross country jumps dotted about. I've been a member for about 7 years now and use it at least once a month, sometimes more.

I'm not 100% sure but I think they shut the bridleways from October to April.

Yes bewl water is nice, or join TROT there are a lot in Kent. I'm in sittingbourne too .
