My friend and I are looking to take our horses on a weekend, week holiday this summer and need ideas of where to go as we seem to keep drawing blanks on our search!
She is based in Mill Hill, north london just below Hertfordshire, and I'm in leatherhead, surrey. We ideally wouldn't like to travel the horses too far either way, 2/3 hours max would be perfect, so thinking about going somewhere on the south coast!
Oh, should mention that we would LOVE to go somewhere with a beach within hacking/driving distance, and also with a few hacks and even (being a tad greedy here) an arena?! although beach is our preference as we've wanted to do it for yonks!
So basically, were looking for somewhere we could keep the ponies (24/7 turnout or stable were not fussy - and neither are the horses!). We wouldn't mind having to rough it in the lorry for the duration of the holiday if we could park it by the horses, would happily camp, or stay in a cheap b&b.
Budget isnt huge either :-S haha but any ideas of places you've been or have heard of will be amaaazing! :-)

Not south coast, but Field Farm near Skegness are about 3 hours from North London (if you get a good run at it). They have fantastic facilities and are truly lovely people. The beach, particularly at low tide, is a dream to ride on. You can find their website at: http://www.field-farm.net/

They have full cross country and a show jumping course, so lots to wear the 4 legged fiends out!!

Wow that looks amazing and sounds ideal! xc and sj aswell dont think we even dreamed of that lol.
Only prob is our lorry is a little old and slow (struggles to go past 45mph ) so think your 3 hours from north london would take us about 4 lol!
Will definately look into it though if we have no other luck and thank you sharing!!!

I took my horse to little lodge farm in Thetford forest!
It was amazing, they have there own cross country course and you stay in log cabins or camp and your horses have there own turnout and you have hours of hacking through the forest.

I loved it and so did my horse!!

New Forest!!! The most fun! Mum and I used to go every year - Ill try and find where...
