I have a 38" minatuire spotted pony, he actually a tiny appaloosa complete with stripe hooves. I entered today in a local show for the coloured class and, although we took 2nd place the judge said we didnt get 1st because we were not plaited. Ironically the horse that took 1st place couldnt even trot 
and the judge took no notice of show eticate so you can see why im p'd off to say the least. 
maybe next time i will enter a 'proper' show 
Pepper rubs his mane and tail so they are not great (wish i could stop him rubbing) but what do you think ? should i have plaited him ??
