Is it ok to plait for cubbing? My friend has a very hairy cob who gets hot and sweaty under his mane, so I was wondering if it was ok to do a running plait in his mane, just to tidy it away. I know your not supposed to plait for autumn hunting but it looks smarter and keeps him from gretting too hot. Thanks x x x :)

Agree with Farriersmum. Hogging and clipping feathers will so much better to manage than a very hairy chap.

i think in this situ it would be fine :)
i'm a whip it all off kinda girl (:o not like that :p) so i'd also hog etc but each to their own :)

I wouldn't let her hog him, he has such a lovey long silky mane, he wouldn't look as nice nice hogged. I think shes going to clip his feathers off, just to make life a little easier! :)

I plaitted his mane up for today and several people comented on how smart it looked so will probs keep him plaitted for cubbing.

Thankyou for replys x x x
