Plaiting Help Please!

Ok, I was wondering how many plaits I should put on her mane?

It should be an odd number on the neck with the forelock making it even...e.g 11 on neck plus the forelock!

Depends how thick her mane is though, I always go for 11 on mine, and use a little metal comb to measure them out. The overall picture looks better if each plait 'bunch' is the same size

11 or 13, if her manes thick 13 would look neater, if fine go for 11.

also depends how long the neck is. if it is quite short go for 15-17 if its quite long for for 9-13

I usually do nine, sometimes eleven if theres a lot of mane.

Mine was 7 or 9 depending on how long her mane was but she has a very thick mane.

As everyone has said 9 or 11 is the "correct" number according to showing. Thank goodness I don't show mine as I have to do approx 20 to keep them to a reasonable size!

Thanks I just wasn't sure how many because of her neck length I think I'll do 11
