Plaiting Help

Im Competieing in my first ODE, its only 2ft9. and ive never competed in dressage or showjumping before.

Can anyone tell me, do i need to plait my welsh Sec C. Because i've been told by lots of people i don't, but by some i do. ANd i don't want to look silly. Can anyone help?

If his mane is pulled, then plait.
If it is 'au naturel' as in for M&M showing classes, then don't as I imagine the plaits would look like golf balls.

Like Fiona says - depends on the mane. It is more correct to NOT plait a native but if you have pulled it short then you may need to. Just try to imagine how big the plaits will look afterwards, if huge then dont bother!

You could do an arab/running plait to get the mane out of the way and looking neat if you want.
