Plaits for hunter class?!

hi

i'm showing my mare in a hunter class at a local show on monday and am determined to make an effort as last year many people at this show were not turned out nicely at all....

one thing that always confuses me is how many plaits...

is it odd number up the mane so forelock makes it even

OR
even number up the mane and forelock makes it odd?!

odd on mane + forelock = even

same as Sally - odd mane - even forelock and hunters look better with bigger plats - not tiny weeny dressage plaits.

Hunters should have 7 or 9 plaits no more no less!
