Plank - ends Where to buy (DIY)

Ok so I am having a go at making my own show jumps and need the bits to go on the end of the planks anyone know the best place to get them or to use as they all seem about £10 a pair!

cut out to a square from either end so you're left with a ¬ at either end
hey presto - no need for ends

if you feel the wood is notr strong enough buy metal brackt from B&Q and screw into ¬ bit
Does that make sense?!

thanks all yes those were the things i meant from robinsons but wanted to do cheaper, like the idear of brackets, have already got the wood from the saw mill so just need to paint and fix,
