I just thought i would post as i am excited that this week, i plan on starting and riding away my 1st home bred youngster!
Previously, i have lightly lunged her and sat on her - that was it.
Now... this is the 'interesting' bit - she turned 7 a few days ago! I decided i was going to wait until this age to see the longer term health with one only starting her ridden career at the older age once she has fully matured. Obviously, it's a shame i don't have her clone who could have been started at 3 and then kept in identical conditions to do a full comparison.
These last few months she has really matured mentally - to the extent that some nights i have gone down to do an extra check on her as she's been 'quiet'.
Fingers crossed she is easy and i live to be able to update you on our progress!
