Ok well I don't know about everyone else but these dark evenings are giving me plenty of time to think about my aims for next year and what I need to do to achieve them.
This is the ideal time to work on any issues that need ironing out so i've booked a lesson for next week and am going to try to improve our schooling and get Tawny listening to me and not nosing around at every Tom, Dick or Harry who happens to be passing at the time!
I have my sites set on some ridden showing classes next year plus some showjumping at local level
What is everyone else aiming for next year and what are you doing to get there?

i was thinking of doing some veteran classes with my sec D (he's 15 now but will be 16 by the time i get round to doing it!). Showing has never really interested me but we've just acquired a 3yo sec A so we wanted to get him out and about next year so i thought that the big boy could keep him company. These nights are absolutely depressing already and its gonna get worse. I was thinking bout lessons to as its been a long time since i've had any and im picking up more and more bad habits by the day!

I am hoping to get some lessons in and possibly do some dressage and showing with my lad next year. Need to get my head around the dressage though as have probably done about 30 tests in the past managed to do them at home ok but get me in that ring and I completely forget where the walk is, only got the test right the last time but was concentrating so much on that didnt take too much notice where the horses head was (mainly nose stuck up in air) hoping that the more I do it the easier it will be.

hoping to start to affilate my boy next year bsja and BD hopefully its a long winter to get everything sorted out and to save up for transport lol

I plan to buy myself a new horse and start riding again. After the disastrous year that was 2009, bring on 2010!
