I know I should probably know this but I don't know what the below plant is, any ideas? It's growing in the resting half of our paddock (which is going to be weed killed and fertalized and rested for at least another 6 months so no chance of poisoning neddies!) Anyhoo, any ideas? As it's yellow I assumed it wasn't good....

And before anyone panics, the half they are in at the moment is totally weed free!

Troggy I need a better picture!

Take one of the flower and one of the leaves using the macro on the camera.

Note things like do the leaves spiral up the stem or are they in pairs etc.

Then I will try and help you! Or PM me and send me a bit....

At a guess it looks a bit like meadow vetchling but I really can't be sure without a better picture. AFAIK meadow vetchling isn't poisonous - it is part of the pea family.

If the leaves are similar to clover then it could be a number of things like black medick, hop trefoil, birdsfoot trefoil etc - again I wasn't aware any of those were poisonous.

Have been trying but the image isnt detailled enough. Looks like a vetch or possibly yellow rattle.....can we have a bigger pic please!

Thanks to you both, that pic was off my phone, will take camera out in morning and try and get some better ones! Thanks for your help

I think it might be some type of Bedstraw
probably Ladies Bedstraw & if so not posionous as related to cleavers which my horses love.

I agree with Tiggie and Spotted Cat looks like 'Ladies Bedstraw' - 'Galium Vernum'. Once used to stuff mattresses when dried years ago.
