I recently bought the plastic grazing muzzle which is working well and lives up to its good reputation. I can’t help wondering if you could make one easily enough using that plastic that’s used in doorways for keeping flies out etc? Anyone had a go?

Flexible fillies?
No but I always thought it! I couldn't think what material to use.
Do you have a link or something to what your talking about?

Might be worth a go - it would need to be quite rubbery material though (so it's flexible and without sharp edges), and then you'd need a very, very sharp knife to cut it out properly. When I enlarged the middle hole of the one my horse has, I had to use a leather punch and punch multiple small overlapping holes - nothing else would go through the plastic. I suspect the manufacturers of the FF muzzle have spent a while messing around with different types of plastic to get it right - but do let us know if you manage to create a homemade version!
