Playing/Chewing on the Bit

My mare is very noisy in the mouth, constantly trying to chew her bit and always ends up tugging the reins out my hands.

Initially, I put it down to stress/anxiety as she was being ridden again but we are now riding daily and she is still doing it.

She is just in a plain snaffle.

Has anyone any experience of this and/or advice, bits I could try?

It is still likely to be stress even if she is ridden everyday. Try relaxing your hands more and if she isn't strong try a straight bar snaffle which will give her less to play with. Make sure teeth check is up to date etc.

Mine does this when she is tight through her back, once she has loosened up and is working through she stops it. My instructor says it is a tension thing x

Mine does it too, it is either a tension or a pain thing for him.
