Playing the haylage lottery

Opened a bale today (meant to be more wrapped hay than haylage) and the whole thing is pretty much *******ed boo most of that will end up on the muck heap so disappointing as the last bale was lovely and seemed endless. Fingers crossed more luck next time anyone else have this much fun playing this lottery?

Did you make it yourself or purchase it from someone?

It's bought and the person I get it off is excellent so I haven't got to worry about loosing out etc, just a bit irritating having to shift through it all as some is still okay to use never mind to be fair it's the only bad one I've had since the start of October so hopefully the replacement one will be as good as the others!

Personally I wouldn't pick through bad haylage to find good bits, it's too risky.

This year ive put all of mine on good hay as the haylage has been disgusting and i was throwing it out by the bale, when i got 3 rubbish big bales in a row i called it quits, the hay's been good
