Please appreciate your horses.....

Its such a shock to us, but we will have to keep going.

Louise, I thought of Stan the man alright just after it happened, and I just saw your post there about him, he does look like your new horse alright, shes lovely, best of luck with her.

You just never know what hand you are going to be dealt, do you?

that is so devastating, i know exactly how you feel. one of the horses i looked after and rode dropped dead due to heart failure, i had given all the horses their teas as i did everyday and he looked as happy as always, i left the horses muunching on their hay and an hour later when i went to check on them he was dead!! i couldnt believe it! he was quite old, 24, but he really didnt look or act his age i thought he had many years left in him. i was so upset as neither me or his owner ever got to say goodbye, he was gone before wehad the chance!

I can't even image any of mine going...I could never cope with a older horse...The thought that they might not be there...I couldn't cope with...I thought I would be alright if they weren't over 25...I will appreciate mine even more. Be greatful she didn't slowly go but had a decent quailty of life till the end x

How sad, and so sudden...I'm so sorry

I always say enjoy all your good moments and rejoice because heartache is always round the corner.Luckily we don't know its there and if we did we couldn't avoid it.

I know my life would not be the same without them and so I can't imagine the hell you are going through right now

I don't know what to say to you, but thank you for reminding us that we need to appreciate our neddies and our families too. We sometimes are a bit blase about them always being there.

Huge hugs to you

I'm so so sorry to hear of your loss, it does make you think. I got the ump with my girl yesterday when she was a total cow out on a hack, thankfully I always leave her with a kiss and a hug, however she has been during our ride. Still can't imagine the pain you must be going through though, take care xx

Nim, I appreciate every moment I have with mine.....love every cheeky thing they do, and am thankful to have them in my life....for however long they are around.

So sorry that JP is no longer with you....thinking of you honey
