My gelding is on loan atm and by the time he comes back, in 2 yrs time (he'll be 15 yo), I want to begin thinking about getting a second riding horse (I hate the word 'replacement'.) I was thinking of getting a coloured sportshorse type this time to do some sj and hunter trials. Just wondered if you had any pictures I could see of your coloureds and give me any advice about your experiences with them? Thanks :)

My lass - she's a blue & white skewbald (aka poobald )

stafford002.jpg

This was her primped up for her first BE but she spends most of her time being a complete minger, I have never known a more filthy horse :eek: She is lovely though :) My advice? If you want a coloured that will stay coloured, don't buy a blue & white! My old horse had a black tail and black splodge on the bit of his bum that tends to get dirty if they poo while they travel. That makes life so much easier! He wasn't exactly a sports horse though...

Titch - aka Milly - officially Southway Miss Milly. Got her from a friend, hoping to take her county level as a riding horse or hunter depending on how she matures.

Photos from 1 month to 18 months.

This is my new boy Cooper. He's an ISH. Has a good amount of bone. More cobby that TB.

And this is my last ISH mare, Tia. We think she had more warmblood in her. Unfortunately had to be pts in June as she was diagnosed with a tumor in her chest at only 9yo. :( Miss her lots.

I then took her novice dr, unaff intro eventing and we were schooling sj at 3'6. She was a very non marey girl and a pleasure to do.

This is Spike, the 5yo irish I share :)

He's a pain to keep clean, after the other day I think I've given up ever even thinking of taking him out to any shows this winter, purely because I don't think I'd get him clean haha

WOW. More pics of this one please!

Thanks, she's a sweetie, a real pleasure to own (although she did her best to nap at that house jump hence the one handedness ). Here you go!

Endurance pleasure ride - saying 'WTF!' about the photographer

Hunter trial (I had fallen off at the previous fence, I jumped it, P decided not to )

She was supposed to brush through the conifers!

When she was a 4yo & her grey patches were steel grey. Those were the days!
