Took him out to the field with Hector for late night pit-stop around 11.00pm as usual last night.

He did his business then shot off - no squeek but when he came back to me saw that he couldn't open his eye and it was weeping. Bathed it and a small thorn came away with the cotton wool

He seemed his usual self and no blood - it's just watery which stopped after bathing. Took him to vets first thing and he has injured his lense - need to keep a close eye on it (ahem) and go back if it gets worse. Never had an eye injury before so fingers crossed drops given will heal it.

Anybody had experience like this? Feel so sorry for him, he of course is loving being a poorly soldier and Hector thinks he should be forced to wear a pink patch over it!

All cuddles for him appreciated
