I'm doing another survey for my college project on War Horses, and I need your help! This survey is about Horses and the War, and kind of involves the story/film/play War Horse, but you don't have to have seen it/read the book to do the survey. It should only take a couple of minutes to complete :)

Too vague in what way may I ask? I wanted it to be quite open so people could write what they knew and their thoughts, as its all to do with getting peoples opinions and thoughts so I can use these to inspire me and create artwork to reflect peoples opinions etc on the war :)
 
I've done it. It was quite vague and took me a long time to fill in. Some of the questions seemed a little odd to me.

The fact is Horses have been used in war over history, the horse as a species would not be were it is now without war. But horses are not used anymore. So regardless of how I feel, what's done is done and all we can do now is respect those, horse and men, that gave their lives for our country.

Is it for an artwork project then? This might make the fact it's vague more understandable as you don't want Quantitative data just Qualitative data to inspire you.

Yeah that's exactly the reason, it is for art yes, I'm doing a project on War Horses, and I have to get other peoples opinions on my subject and the things in it for inspiration and to help me create suitable artwork for the project :)

Well, I can't go back and look at it as I've already filled it in, but for example the question about horses nolonger being used in warfare, it was due to developments in warfare and not because it was wrong to use horses and so many reasons are involved ( social developments, vehicals, weapons etc). The question about thoughts of warfare is HUGE and vague. As someone else has said you will get a beter response from having boxes to tick or strongly / not srongly agreeing with statements. Good luck.:)
 
Done :) I actually liked that it was a text answers rather than ticky boxy survey, it would be hard to cover all bases with a tick box survey on this topic i feel. Good luck with your art work, it sounds like an interesting project!
