My daughter has been urging me to create this thread for a while as she's eager to see what you all make of her pony.

He's a 4 yo Welsh Sec A. These pics were taken back in the summer. I can't seem to find the folder of pics where we had him standing squarely so I hope people can see/work out his conformation from these. He's not in work, just occasional weekend hack, so hasn't got much muscle tone.

We've been told by many people that we should show him. I haven't got a clue about showing so not sure if we should or not.

Your daughter has a lovely pony, he is almost silver coloured isn't he? He is very pretty, and very immature still for a 4 year old. You will see great changes in him over the next year or two.

He looks really sweet! He'd probably do really well in lead-rein and M&M classes. You'll see a big difference in him over the next couple of years, my mum has 2 x Section A's and they weren't fully mature until they reach 6. Good luck with him!

He is very pretty. He does look very immature for a 4 yr old.

He is light of bone for a section A. But what a pretty face!

Cute, cute, cute - and younger than 4 I would guess.

Agree with this, also i'd expect him to go white in a couple of years, mine looked just like yours at 3, he's now 10 (been white since 5/6yrs) and filled out a LOT! lol
He looks like he has a weedy neck (Typical baby) like mine did, soon filled out as he got older.
But a lovely pony over all, you should do well in M&M classes when he fills out and matures :D

What a cute little chap.

I think top sec A's I have very compact/strong hindquarters, and also more topline over the neck, I agree with posters above that he does look a little light build for a sec A.

Does he have Welsh papers?

How tall is he?

If I was going to be hyper crytical I would say that he is a little light of bone (possibly arab x) and might be a tad over 12hh which is the max height for a Welsh A. But otherwise a lovely looking little chap.

He's definitely 4! We bought him as a yearling and have had for over 3 years now.

Hes lovely Looks alot like my mare, do you know what his breeding is?

His pedigree is here: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/blackhill+thunderbolt

Don't let his looks fool you! He's NOT a cute pony! He hates cuddles, fuss and brushes and would eat children if he could!

He's too clever for his own good too. Here he is trying to let his girlfriend out:

I've always thought he looks like a mini Arab but he's not. He's a purebred Welshy x teddy bear (at the moment!).
