Seen recently people doing charity adoptions for animals with scammers details.

Please do not do this.

Charities certainly do not need the admin involved in sorting out these. Also most of these scammer bank accounts are emptied straightaway as soon as any money is in them.

It might be funny but it really is a problem for them. Everything needs to be audited for accounting purposes and this is a waste of admin resources.
 
I can't understand how people are doing it anyway, pretty sure you have to give the registered address to set up a payment. And it's fraud.
I totally agree if it's real it's not a good idea, but I see people saying they've done this and just go yep - today in things that never happened...

They make up addresses. Anything entered onto forms goes into the charities crm system which causes admin work.
