What the expression "cow pony" means? I know some people use it as a term of endearment but I've never quite understood what they mean. Is it..

(a) pony is a right cow :p

(b) pony is marked like a Fresian, or other patchy style

(c) pony is Welsh and has the bug-eyed "cow" shaped face

Thanks

'Cow pony' is a horse that works cattle - used in the same way as you'd use the term 'sheepdog'. An American friend will say 'that horse has a lot of 'cow'' which means that the horse shows a talent for cattle ranching work (and is actually quite a compliment as the horse is usually intelligent, fast and agile)

or

sometimes used in a jokey way for a coloured horse (coat pattern being like a Fresian/Holstein dairy cow):)

Its a pony you could turn out in a field of cows and not be able to find again.

Works especially well if they are hogged with short cob tails :D

We have one
