... but I am desperate. We are moving yards and the people who supplied, fitted and sealed our mats have seemingly gone bust (Tylyne), so we are now left not knowing what to do.

Our current 2 stables are 10.5x10.5 and the new ones are 14x14 and 24x14, so we would have needed extra matting in any case. I have phoned a few companies; one of them is also about to go bust, one said they wouldn't fit someone else's mats and another said their mats were not compatable with Tylyne's so it would not work, and that they do not recommend sealing them.

We are quite adamant that we have to have mats that can be sealed down and together, like our current ones, so that no leakage occurs. Because of our time constraints with the building and the legal dispute, it also really needs to be a company who will fit them and not just ship them and expect you to do it. So it kind of rules out equimat!

Who have other people used for SEALED mats? Getting desperate as we want to have left current yard by October 1st!

Thank youx

THere's a guy on EBay selling them, who says he'll fit them too! 25.99 each plus delivery of course, based in Solihull though, but worth a try maybe? Under Rubber Stable Matting I think or try this number 07765 625508. Hope you get things sorted soon!

Thank you very much.

Just found the ebay guy who sounds a bit scary lol. I have narrowed it down to Quattro, the ebay guy and ukrubbermats.co.uk so if anyone knows anything about any of them then let me know.

Our solution is that we are going to use the rubber mats from BOTH our current stables for our new 24x14 stable, and get new mats fitted and sealed by another company. Hopefully they will fit the old mats for us as well, but if not then my husband will silicone them when he does the wall matting.

Once the mats have been used it is quite difficult to seal them together again and achieve a good waterproof bond. The only way to do it is to abrade the sides of the mat so that you are sealing on to freshly prepared surface but even so this is difficult to do and does not always work.

Rather than waste a lot of time it is cheaper long term just to get completely new matting installed

Ahhh, thanks Owlie.

I contacted Quattro who sound really lovely and said that they would fit the old matting in the bigger stable and would put new matting down in the old stable. I didn't have the measurements so I have to call back, so I will mention to him about the waterproofness of the mats if refitted.

He seemed to think they couldn't fit us in for another 5-6 weeks

That takes us to about 13-20 October!
